Juno Racing Ireland Launches with a Win
>We are very pleased to announce that Philip Shields has opened the Juno Racing Ireland dealership and he no sooner enters his Juno SSV6 into a race than he wins.
Last week, Wayne Douglas not only won the Open Libre race, at Kirkistown, but he smashed the sportscar lap record by an incredible 1.6 seconds.
“This result is why I have decided to sell Junos in Ireland,” says Philip. “Having owned and sold cars of another leading manufacturer I became very disillusioned, as have my fellow drivers. But I think I have found the winning formula with Juno; fantastic cars and first class service from Ewan and his team. Juno’s success over the past few years in Europe and the good name it has in motorsport are things I can build on in Ireland.”
Building successful businesses is something that Philip is very good at. He has companies both in Ireland and the UK. From his recently opened Lisburn base, he is offering a full sales and support service and intends to run a works car in the Irish Sportcar Championship next season with the aim of winning it.
“We pride ourselves not only on the winning qualities of our cars but our after sales service and support and Philip and his Juno Racing (Ireland) team offer exactly the same,” says Ewan Baldry, Juno’s MD. “He will do a great job for the Juno owners in Ireland who we hope to see racing in the rest of Europe.”
